Reservation
The half day lesson covers points of sail (close hauled, close reach, beam reach, broad reach, and running) , reading the wind, helmsmanship, getting under way, tacking, jibing, cleats, winches, and line of sight navigation. Students will rotate between crew and helm positions. It is taught entirely on the water. The intro class is offered every day from 11-3PM. Sailing Made Easy by Charlie Nobles or Sailing Fundamentals by Gary Jobson is optional reading prior to or after the class. Basic Keelboat Sailing is the course which follows.
